Hadrian's Union

Laura James has taken a weekend out of her studies at LIPA, Liverpool's performing Arts academy, to play songs from her latest CD 'The Bed of the Brook'. Her music has certainly developed and matured since the release of her first recording 'Songs about the weather'.       Mike Chapman, local fingerpicking and blues genius played the pavilion as a warm-up for his UK tour. As such, one might have expected a reserved performance but the small audience which listened on this cold Autumn night might have been forgiven for thinking he was on his final performance.
