Stew Simpson and Danny Hart (guitar/vocals and violin
respectively) have been busy touring the length and breadth of England
promoting Hadrian's Union CD 'Trapped in Time', so there is a sense of
homecoming as they join forces with Mike France (bassist) and take to the

Laura
James has taken a weekend out of her studies at LIPA, Liverpool's performing
Arts academy, to play songs from her latest CD 'The Bed of the Brook'. Her
music has certainly developed and matured since the release of her first
recording 'Songs about the weather'. There is breadth and depth to the
compositions which often utilise alternate tunings on her guitar. The clarity

Michael Chapman and Rita Hosking

Mike Chapman, local fingerpicking and
blues genius played the pavilion as a warm-up for his UK tour. As such, one
might have expected a reserved performance but the small audience which
listened on this cold Autumn night might have been forgiven for thinking he was
on his final performance. Having played here before, Mike had a lot of local
support. While singing many numbers he is at his finest when playing his
